Troubleshooting

Problem Probable cause Solution
Pilot doesn‘t light up • gas valve may be off • turn the gas valve on
• tank fuel empty • refill the tank
• air in supply system • purge the air from lines
• loose connections • check all of them
Pilot doesn’t stay on • debris around pilot • clean the area
• loose connections • tighten them
• bad thermocouple • replace it
• gas leak in line • check connections
• lack of fuel pressure • tank nearly empty, refill it
Burner doesn’t light up • low pressure • tank nearly empty, refill it
• opening blocked • remove and clean it
• control not ot • turn the valve on
• bad thermocouple • replace it
• bent pilot light assembly • place in proper position
• not in correct location • place in proper location
