USE
Firewood
Use very dry wood with maximum 20 % humidity.
Beech wood is preferred as it becomes thick charcoal. Ash wood also works well.
Be careful with using tropical hardwood which becomes very hot – the plate might warp (fi gure 1).
Charcoal can be also used in combination with fi rewood.

elsewhere.
Storage space in the grill
When storing logs or other items in the storage space of the grill, always leave a free space of at
least 20 centimeters below the cone.
WARNING: When placing logs or other items too close to the ashtray, they can catch fi re, which
can cause very dangerous situations.
Make a fi re
Stack the pieces of wood two by two as if you were building a log cabin (see Figure 3), with the
bark facing outwards to further prevent smoke formation.
The ideal size of logs is around 10x30 cm. We advise against using larger pieces of wood. These
do tend to catch fi re quickly but generally do not burn down properly due to the lack of space for
oxygen in the cone.
