and wrong use of the device.
SAFETY AND SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
• Due to considerable weight of the elements, unpacking and placing of the grill should be done
by at least two people.
• To prevent formation of blurs on the edges of the steel cooking plate, do not roll the plate to
move it. The top of the plate can no longer be scraped down properly with the spatula when there
are blurs.
• While the corrosion is still superficial, Corten steel elements may cause orange stains on clothes,
skin and the surface they stand on. When it rains, corrosive water may also run off the grill, which
may permanently stain light-toned stone or wooden surfaces.
• It is best to place the cooking plate on the cone with two people. Place it halfway and if it does
not fit the cone levelly, you can turn it until the plate settles over the cone. We recommend to use
gloves when placing the cooking plate to avoid injury. Also, please be careful not to stain your
clothes when touching the Corten steel parts.
• Note that black grills are more sensitive to damage during setup and use due to its coating.
• Only place your grill on hard, leveled, stable and heat resistant surface.
• Use of pure alcohol, petrol or other chemical substances when lighting fire is very dangerous
and may affect the good on the cooking plate.
• Never leave the grill unattended during use.
• Keep children and pets away from the grill during use and until it cooled down after use.
• Never use the grill indoor or in a partially or fully closed space. This causes an excess of
dangerous fumes that may result in carbon monoxide poisoning.
• Make sure the area around the grill is clear of any flammable materials.
• When using tropical hardwood, only use small quantity at one time. The amount of heat
generated by this type of wood is such that large quantity used at the same time will cause the
cooking plate to warp.
• Ashes can stay very hot for a long period of time, sometime even for days. Therefore, always put
them in an empty zinc bin and throw water over them so that they are completely covered before
disposal. Only then dispose of them in regular bin.
• Never extinguish the fire using water.
